Proof Approval
Upon receipt of a print approval e-mail from Second City Stationery, please be sure to double (maybe even triple) check the proof for any errors or typos. Below are just a few suggestions on where you should especially look at. But make sure you look at everything carefully as we are not responsible for any errors after approval.
- Spelling of First, Middle, and Last Names: Bride and Groom or Partner 1 & Partner 2, Parent Names, etc.
- Days, Dates and Times
- Website Addresses: Check to make sure that they are not case-sensitive; some websites won't work if your guests type it in all caps and they may be confused if the design on your invitation has the website link in all capital letters. Make sure to check that the website(s) you list will work exactly how they are shown on your wedding invitation design.
- Venue Name(s), Street Addresses and Locations
- Grammar and Punctuation
- Guest Addresses for Envelope Printing: We don't know your guest names and there are some very unique names and spellings out there. Please make sure that your guest names and addresses are spelled correctly. Also double check that they have the correct titles (i.e. Mrs., Mr., Miss, Ms., etc.)
- Quantity (there is a $25 set-up fee in addition to the cost of your invitations if you need to order more invitations after your original invitation order has shipped)
We also suggest sending your digital proof to your parents and future in-laws to make sure that the invitation wording is correct and everyone is happy with it (especially if one or both sets of parents are hosting or contributing financially to the wedding).
Please note that it is your responsibility to fully check the proof for any errors, misspellings, grammatical issues, etc. Second City Stationery cannot be held responsible for any errors after a file has been approved for printing.
An e-mailed approval is also considered the go ahead to print. If changes need to be made after the printing has started, we will address those issues on a case by case basis.
Once you have double and triple checked your proof and it is ready to go to print, fill out the form below and click "Submit"
